Legal Eagles is a talk radio program whose creator and host is William Pelarenos, a retired police officer, author and nationally recognized, award-winning DUI expert.

Pelarenos created "Legal Eagles" in order to inform listeners of the workings of law enforcement and the criminal justice system.  Now in its fifth season, the show covers all aspects of the legal system from traffic cases to murder cases. Special focus is given to the topic of alcohol- and drug-related DUI issues, cases and laws. Guests include attorneys, physicians, nurses, toxicologists, and police officers. 2023 is a highly unusual and challenging year for the entire legal system and William brings on guests that help listeners sort it all out.

ABOUT THE HOST

William Pelarenos is a nationally recognized DUI expert witness and standardized field sobriety testing instructor. During his distinguished career as a police officer, his role on a three-man Cook County-wide DUI enforcement unit effected arrests throughout 21 townships, 132 suburbs, and the city of Chicago.  He taught standardized field sobriety testing and DUI enforcement to hundreds of police officers, including suburban police departments, Chicago Police Department, Cook County sheriffs, and the state troopers from the Illinois State Police. He has also held DUI seminars for attorneys. An expert on the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration, standardized field sobriety testing, Illinois administrative code, and the Illinois Vehicle Code, Pelarenos is sure to answer your questions with the utmost authority. He is also the former host of the television talk show "The DUI Expert" on the Total Living Network.

The discussion focuses on drivers charged with driving under the influence of drugs and/or intoxicating compounds. Attorney Steve Fagan Also explains the Illinois state statute regarding this DUI charge.

Guest is Defense Attorney Steve Fagan who discusses past trials including a reckless conduct case, a criminal trespass to O'Hare airport, a criminal sexual assault case involving a dental assistant and a statutory summary suspension case.
