Chicago is one of the best food cities in the world and great food merits great wine! Fortunately, Chicago has an incredible wine scene and our team wants to spread the good word about wine shops, bars, restaurants, and events throughout the Chicago metro area.

Each episode offers a mix of interviews with industry professionals, news on upcoming wine events, tasting notes, and wine education. We aim to meet the needs of all wine lovers: Newbies, connoisseurs, and everyone in between!

CHIP DUDLEY: Chip Dudley is a former wine bar owner (694 Wine & Spirits) and freelance writer who has had a long-time love affair with wine and food. He has traveled extensively and brings a pan-global approach to understanding wine and cuisine. During Covid, on a lark, Lainie and Chip started a wine podcast, which eventually became the Chicago Wine Report

TOM HALL: Tom Hall came to wine in earnest after a gluten intolerance diagnosis took away his favorite beverage,  beer. Since then his preferred carbonated beverage is Champagne although he is quite happy to try any wine on offer. All wines tell a story and his taste buds love a good story.

After a lifetime as a bicycle mechanic, Tom is very happy to be behind the microphone where his hands stay clean.

LAINIE PETERSEN: Lainie is a lot of things, including a freelance writer, news commentator, and ordained clergywoman. She also loves wine and after a stint as the theater correspondent for Playtime with Bill Turck and Kerri Kendall (which ran on WCGO from 2017 to 2021) she is thrilled to be back on the airwaves.
